“Nothing is ever the same. Your status, finances, and friends will all change with fame. Suddenly everybody knows your name, what you look like, how much money you make, and who you like to hang out with. Everyone wants a piece of you in hopes that some of the “magic” will rub off on them. They don’t see the ups and downs. To them it is all glory. Now that fame has taken hold of your life, usually things start to drastically change in the real world. People are offering to pay extravagant sums of money to know you think. Yet do they really care? Some care yes but for the vast majority it is because people want to be able to relate to somebody so influential. Your privacy disappears as the mongrel paparazzi stalk you to fill the tabloids. Everything you say or do of significance is widely broadcast for people to pass judgment on. You may think the outfit you have on is superb, but magazines criticize. One is always under a magnifying glass because of fame. Money. Don’t we all want it? With fame it seems to simply appear and in large sums. Cover shoots, interviews, biographies, and televised events are constantly shoved in one’s face. If one is a really big star they can easily accumulate grandiose mannerisms, receive lavish gift and trips are bestowed upon you constantly. This can create a false sense of well being, causing one to become wasteful. And if it is abruptly halted, can greatly alter one’s personality. You become so used to having things handed to you on a silver platter, you usually become a high and pompous person people do not wish to be around. Yet they stay because they are merely trying to ride your coattail to the top. Fame does bring money but is that necessarily happiness? They love you, cannot go for a week without seeing you or so it seems. Everyone wants to be your friend but this is nearly always fake. Fame affects the way people treat you in both positive and negative aspects. Although most crave it fame is not what it is cracked up to be. Yes, everyone knows your name but one has no privacy. One has lots of money but it is wasted and your friends are fakes. The only thing truly positive about how fame affects you is the ability to influence others to do good. Fame not only affects your life, it affects the others around you.”
